Executive Director (ED)
Nasima Begum started working as Executive Director of Shishu Niloy Foundation on September 1, 1989 when she was a newly post-graduated in Social Work from Rajshahi University. Although she initially started her career as a social worker subject to the hobby, gradually she fell in love with the profession seeing the misery of the underprivileged people and feeling the happiness of being able to do something for them and settled down.
She was born on January 23, 1964 into an aristocratic family. Among 5 siblings, she is the third one. She competed post-graduation in 1985 with skill. As the other education, she has completed a “Diploma in Primary Education Management Specialists” from King’s Alfred College, Winchester UK; a “Diploma in Community Based Development” from St. Francis Xavier University, Canada; “Commonwealth Professional Fellowship Course” from United Kingdom (UK), ‘National Leadership Training (NLT) Course from Japan. Besides, she has participated in various training courses organized at home and abroad; those are ‘Appeal Training Materials for Literacy Personnel (ATLP)’; ‘ZOP (Objective Oriented Project Planning) Basic Course’; ‘Training of Trainers (ToT)’; ‘Management of NGOs’; ‘Project Planning & Management’; ‘Project Design and Management etc. She has visited exposure in Spain, Turkey, Philippine, Kenya, Thailand, Indonesia, India etc. and applied her acquire knowledge for the betterment of the underprivileged people of the southern-west part of Bangladesh.
