MIS & IT
Introduction
Since its establishment in 1997, the Management Information System (MIS) & Information Technology (IT) Section of Shishu Niloy Foundation (SNF) has been at the forefront of the organization’s digital transformation journey. The section is dedicated to ensuring efficient information management, strengthening organizational transparency, and supporting evidence-based decision-making through innovative technology solutions.
Digital Management System
To improve operational efficiency and streamline organizational processes, the MIS & IT Section has gradually introduced a comprehensive web-based automation system across the organization—from branch offices to the head office. The system currently manages key operational areas, including:
- Microfinance
- Human Resources (HR)
- Provident Fund (PF) and KKT
- Gratuity and Payroll
- SNF Resource & Training Division (SRTD)
- Replication on Successful Domestic Violence Reduction (RSDVR)
- Fixed Assets Management
The integrated platform enables secure data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting, allowing management to access real-time information anytime and from anywhere. This has significantly strengthened transparency, accountability, and organizational efficiency.
Capacity Building Through Technology
Recognizing that digital transformation depends on skilled human resources, the MIS & IT Section regularly organizes training programs to enhance employees’ technical knowledge and digital competencies. These initiatives enable staff to confidently use automated systems and adapt to technology-driven management practices, ensuring smooth implementation of organizational activities.
Data Analytics and Performance Monitoring
The section has introduced modern dashboards, reporting tools, and data analytics systems to support effective program monitoring and informed decision-making. These digital tools provide management with timely insights into program implementation, financial performance, and key organizational indicators, enabling faster responses and improved strategic planning.
Future Digital Initiatives
SNF continues to expand its digital ecosystem by incorporating additional organizational functions into the automation platform. Future initiatives include the automation of:
- Inventory Management
- SN Ideal School Management System
These developments will further strengthen institutional efficiency, improve resource management, and support sustainable organizational growth.
Our Vision
The MIS & IT Section remains committed to building a modern, transparent, and technology-driven organization. Through continuous innovation and digital transformation, the department aims to enhance service delivery, improve organizational performance, and contribute to the long-term mission of Shishu Niloy Foundation.
