Specialized Agrosor Loan
Project Summary
The Specialized Agrosor Loan is a specialized financial inclusion initiative implemented by Shishu Niloy Foundation (SNF) under the Rural Microenterprise Transformation Project (RMTP). The project commenced on 11 September 2023 with the financial support of IFAD and PKSF and is currently being implemented through 12 branches by a dedicated team of 36 professionals.
The project focuses on providing larger-scale financial services to rapidly growing rural small entrepreneurs operating within specialized business clusters. During the first phase, the project received BDT 2.8 crore as the initial installment. Currently, 14 entrepreneurs (4 men and 10 women) are benefiting from the program through access to specialized enterprise loans.
Goal
To accelerate the growth and sustainability of specialized rural small enterprises by providing adequate financial support, strengthening entrepreneurial capacity, and promoting inclusive rural economic transformation.
Objectives

Achievement
- Successfully launched the project across 12 SNF branches.

Learning
The implementation experience demonstrates that access to larger-scale finance can significantly accelerate the growth of capable rural entrepreneurs when combined with proper screening, monitoring, and capacity-building support. The project also highlights the importance of cluster-based financing and targeted support for women-led enterprises in achieving sustainable rural economic transformation. Strong partnerships among SNF, PKSF, and IFAD continue to play a vital role in ensuring effective implementation and long-term impact.
